Excel File not opening when you double click

1. Tools>Options>General Uncheck "ignore other applications"
2. Start --> Run---> type "excel /unregserver" (minus the quotation marks.) -->OK
3. Start --> Run---> type "excel /regserver" (minus the quotation marks.) -->OK
